Leadership Under Load

Not leadership as theory.

Leadership under load, where pressure makes patterns visible.

Leadership Under Load

The Coherence Golf Summits™ create a live environment in which leadership can be observed under pressure.

Before habit, hierarchy, or explanation obscure what is actually happening.

Golf does not create these patterns. It reveals them.

And once leadership becomes visible, leaders can begin to see not only what they intend, but what their leadership is actually producing.

Why Golf?

The golf course makes leadership visible under pressure.

PaceJudgmentAuthorityTrustRecovery

Every shot requires perception of signals, interpretation of risk, and disciplined decision-making.

The course becomes a living leadership laboratory.

Leaders observe themselves and one another while the leadership system is still in motion: how decisions are made, how pressure moves through the group, where authority actually sits, how people recover, and what the team compensates for.

Golf does not simulate the leadership challenge. It reveals it while it is happening.

Why It Matters

Leadership becomes consequential when the choices a leader makes become conditions other people must work, decide, perform, and lead inside.

The more authority a leader holds, the farther those consequences travel.

The Summit makes those consequences visible while leaders still have the opportunity to understand what they are creating.

From Observation to Understanding

The course reveals your leadership. The Summit interprets it.

What happens on the course becomes the material for deeper inquiry.

The working sessions become the place where observation becomes understanding.

From there, leadership teams can determine how deeply they are ready to work with what they have seen.

Location Matters

Leaders think differently in spaces that breathe.

Hosted at some of the most breathtaking, challenging, and exclusive course locations in the United States.

Chosen intentionally for their rhythm, flow, nature, and architectural intelligence.

Because the environment shapes the experience.

And leaders think differently in spaces that breathe.

The setting is part of the Summit architecture: an extraordinary golf experience designed to engage and challenge players across levels while creating the conditions for a very different kind of leadership work.

Three Summits. Three Depths of Work.

Each Coherence Golf Summit™ is a complete leadership experience.

The distinction is not how long leaders spend together or how many rounds they play.

It is the depth of work the leadership team is ready to undertake.

Which Summit is right for your team?

The Rhythm of the Summit

Each day blends three environments for seeing, understanding, and integrating leadership in motion.

The Course

Morning rounds → leadership observation

The course keeps the leadership system in motion and makes patterns visible as they occur.

The Forums

Afternoon leadership forums → clarity and strategy

What becomes visible on the course becomes material for inquiry, interpretation, and shared understanding.

The Dinners

Evening dinners → reflection and connection

Conversation slows. Leaders have space to reflect, connect, and allow the day's learning to integrate.

Every Summit Begins Before the First Tee.

Each Summit is shaped around the leadership context, stakes, and depth of work of the team entering it.

A Summit Conversation helps us understand what is already visible, what decisions are actually available to your team, and how deeply your organization is prepared to work.

Pre-Summit work may include selected diagnostics, assessments, leadership context, readiness conversations, and participant preparation appropriate to the work the team is undertaking.

Why The Coherence Company

The Coherence Golf Summits™ are guided by two experienced leaders bringing different diagnostic lenses to the same living leadership system.

Sarah Patterson

Sarah Patterson brings more than 27 years of engineering, operational, technical, management, and business-development experience to the Golf Summit Course Diagnostics Lab.

A chemical engineer by training and CEO of PATTS, LLC, Sarah has spent her career working inside complex environments where clarity must emerge from competing information, operational pressure, and real-world constraint.

Her work centers on transforming complexity into usable structure. Across production operations, technical services, standards development, management, and organizational learning, Sarah has designed frameworks that help teams examine what is actually happening, generate viable options, and move toward greater clarity and accountable ownership.

She is a longtime technical and industry leader, a co-inventor of two patents, and a 2025 recipient of the ASTM F17 Frank W. Reinhart and Henry “Butch” Kuhlman Award for significant contributions to the plastics pipe industry.

Together, Christine and Sarah bring complementary ways of seeing to the course.

Christine observes leadership and relational systems. Sarah observes structural and operational systems. The course provides the conditions in which both become visible.

Their collaboration creates an environment where facilitated inquiry helps the leadership team move beyond an evaluation of individual golfers. It becomes a multidimensional inquiry into how a leadership team perceives, decides, adapts, relates, recovers, and operates while the system is under load.

Begin a Summit Conversation

You don't need to know which Summit you need before we talk.

But most leaders already have a hunch. A Summit Conversation helps us understand what is already visible, what decisions are actually available to your team, and how deeply your organization is prepared to work.
